Career Development Program
Are you passionate about helping others and making a positive impact in your community? We invite you to become a mentor for refugees seeking employment and undergoing job training. Your guidance can be the key to their success and integration into a new life.
All volunteers are REQUIRED to complete a volunteer application to serve at the Northwest Community Center. We REQUIRE all adults to have a cleared background check. Minors are REQUIRED to submit a reference before they can serve. NO WALK-UPS permitted without a current background check on file.
Your mentorship will empower refugees to gain the confidence and skills they need to secure meaningful employment.
How you can help:
- Career Guidance: Assist refugees in understanding the job market, preparing resumes, and practicing interview skills.
- Personal Support: Offer encouragement and advice as they navigate their new environment.
- Skill Development: Help them develop the skills needed for their chosen career paths.
- Share your experience: Use your professional and personal experiences to guide someone through their job training journey.

Commitment: Thursday evenings. Dinner will be served
