I’m Marshall — Director at the Northwest Community Center, where I have the honor of serving refugees and their families alongside an incredibly gifted team. My work has largely existed within the nonprofit sector focusing on cross-cultural engagement, community development and servant-leadership. I met Jesus at 17 (thanks to a gracious youth pastor and free BBQ) - and I’ve been trying to live out His love ever since. “Love all” is a motto I keep close in every part of life — where I live, learn, work and hang. (John 13:34–35) I’m married to my best friend Breanna and together we’re raising three amazing kids: Mckinney (Mak), Jude, and MJ (Marshall Jr.). When I’m not DJing a family dance party in the kitchen or playing catch, you’ll probably find me golfing, cheering for the Rangers/Spurs/Cowboys/Liverpool or enjoying good food on a patio with friends and family.

In late 2007, I became friends with a refugee family from Togo. I continue to value my times of fellowship with them, from meals to school graduations. It is my privilege to serve alongside a team of ministry leaders, volunteers and community partners to assist refugee families in their transition to a new life in Dallas. I have a passion for work in the non-profit sector, specifically in helping families to financial stability and equipping them to thrive in a new culture. Micah 6:8 encourages me to pursue justice, extend kindness, and to be humble as I serve in Vickery Meadow.

I was born and raised in southeastern Europe in a non-Christian home. I got born again at the age of 16. For the last 8 years my family and I have been serving alongside “Youth With A Mission” (YWAM) as fulltime missionaries here in the United States. I consider it a great blessing the opportunity to serve alongside the NCC team as a Refugee Leader, reaching out to the nations that God brought in our doorstep!

In January 2007, I joined Northwest Bible Church after being resettled in the United States from a life in Refugee camps. After being rescued by the Lord from many wars, I was very hungry to find a church where I could belong and give thanks to God for His rescue. I joined the Northwest staff in 2012 as an Event Specialist, but I had a desire to help refugees more, and in 2014, God gave me the opportunity to serve refugees full time.

I get the honor of being the Community Engagement Coordinator at the NCC. I was born in Iran and came to the US when I was 9 years old. I have a Muslim background but encountered God’s grace in 2012 when I was invited to a church that changed my life. Someone challenged me to an invitation by saying, “I’ll read the Quran for you if you read the Bible for me” and we did so for one year. I got an opportunity to see not only Biblical truth, but God’s people and how differently they lived from the world. I gave my life to Jesus in 2013 and have since had a passion to show the love of Christ to those who don’t know Him, especially the nations that don’t have an opportunity to encounter Him freely. In 2020 I attended Dallas Theological Seminary and over the years God opened the doors for me to work as a minister in various capacities. In 2022 I married my amazing husband Andre, and in 2024 we welcomed our sweet boy, Elijah. We, as a family, feel called to expand His Kingdom through nations and generations which is why I’m so excited to be a part of Northwest & the NCC.  

My name is Daniel Mutia. I was born and raised in Kenya. I became a Christian in 1984 while I was in Junior high. The Lord gave me the grace to grow in him and called me to full-time ministry in October 1992. I have been in the church ministry in Kenya for over 20 years. After joining Dallas Theological Seminary for my graduate studies, I joined Northwest Bible Church in the summer of 2017.  I am privileged to be a local missionary at the Northwest Community Center to serve in the career development program. Seeing refugees' lives change through workforce development is a great honor.
