Career Development Program
Description
Are you passionate about helping others and making a positive impact in your community? We invite you to become a mentor for refugees seeking employment and undergoing job training. Your guidance can be the key to their success and integration into a new life.
Career Guidance: Assist refugees in understanding the job market, preparing resumes, and practicing interview skills.
Personal Support: Offer encouragement and advice as they navigate their new environment.
Skill Development: Help them develop the skills needed for their chosen career paths.
Share your experience: Use your professional and personal experiences to guide someone through their job training journey.
Commitment: Thursday evenings. Dinner will be served.
All individuals MUST complete a Northwest Community Center volunteer application. For those 18 years and older, you will receive an email from CheckR to complete a background check after you submit the volunteer application if this is your first time serving with us at the NCC.
